16 days Summer Camp in Shanghai, Beijing

 

Organized by Hangzhou Chinese Overseas Exchange Office, China.

A Brief Introduction of Our Destinations

 

Date of Departure:

 

Day 1

Meeting at Vancouver International Airport;  

Leaving for Shanghai.  

Day 2

Arrival at the local high school in Shanghai; 

Registration / Summer Camp opening ceremonies;  

Getting familiar with the high school;

Welcome dinner. 

Day 3

Learning Chinese KungFu.

Learning Mandarin:   Self introduction;  

  How to look at the map of Shanghai?  

Learning Children songs and folk rhymes.

After lunch, learning Chinese Handicrafts;

Sport activities;

After dinner, “Hello Shanghai!”.

Day 4 

Learning Chinese KungFu.  

Learning Mandarin:  On visiting families;

    On interviewing as a reporter.  “My Shanghai friends”.  

Visiting local families;

Dinner in the local families  

Day 5        

 

Learning Chinese KungFu.

Sightseeing at the Shanghai Yu Yuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street;

Lunch at the Yu Yuan Garden restaurant;

After dinner, sightseeing at the Huangpu River (The Bunk);

Enjoying acrobatic show

Day 6

Learning Chinese KungFu  

Sightseeing at the APEC conference hall;

Sightseeing at Shanghai technology museum and the Street of Sculpture; 

Sightseeing at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and 

Lunch:  Hangzhou style;  

Preparing for Composition.

Learning Mandarin:  Public transportation; 

  How to make phone calls in Mandarin? 

Prepare for Skit 

Sport Activities  

Day 8

Sightseeing with local students in the QingPu wild camp sites;

Day 10

Day 11 One Day tour at Sou Zhou  

Day 12

Learning Mandarin:   Chinese phrase;

   Chinese modern poems.

Karaoke competition in Chinese songs.

After lunch, Closing ceremony, prize presenting and farewell party; 

Taking train to Beijing.

Day 13

Arriving at Beijing;

Sightseeing at the Temple of Heaven;

After lunch, sightseeing at the Summer Palace.  

Day 14      

 

Sightseing at the People Assembly Hall and the Tian’anmen Square; 

Sightseeing at the ChangAn Street;

After lunch, sightseeing at Forbidden City museum.

After dinner, shopping at Wangfujing.  

Day 15

Sightseeing at the Great Wall and the Ming Tomb.

After dinner, preparing for the Composition Competition.  

Day 16

Calling for Composition papers;

Preparing for departure.

Taking flights back to your hometown.
